  • Always clean your face skin before applying the mask. You can also steam your face for a few minutes over hot water. It will open your skin’s pores and the mask will be more effective.
  • It’s a good idea to test the facial mask before applying it, because an allergic reaction may occur. Apply a small amount of the mask and wait for 25-30 minutes. You can apply the mask on your face only when you’re sure it won’t cause an allergic reaction.
  • If you’re going to make a homemade face mask by yourself, make it right before using it and try not to store it for a long time, because the ingredients may spoil.
  • Apply the mask on your face with careful circular movements, but don’t rub it into your skin. You can apply the mask with a brush, a sponge or with your own fingers. But remember, all those things must be perfectly clean. Try not to apply the mask on the area around your lips, eyes and eyebrows.
